World in Upheaval Artist's Choice

This image, part of an ongoing series entitled “A Stranger in a Strange Land” is, initially, photographic capture of paint deteriorating on rusting metal. The textures are inherent. The final colors, tonality and composition are the result of my subsequent response to the subject matter. I create images that are emotionally vibrant and mysterious. They are purely abstract, presenting elements of color, texture and ambiguous forms to create a portal for transmuting the temporal to the empyreal.
